contrast to bring out the theme. I love the
way the background is fiery and tumulteous.
So much is going on behind the angel, but
yet all we see is this fiery background.
Then the look on the angel's face. Even
with all that is occuring behind the angel,
the angel still keeps a quiet little smile.
This smile reminds me of the Mona Lisa.
It is just a plain simple smile, but yet
it speaks volumes about the piece.
The angel's smile seems inviting and serene.
She is saying peace comes from within.
The contrast of images makes an excellent
point in this work."
