THE WORD IS ALIVE

JOHN 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Christ as the Word:

JOHN 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the father, full of grace and truth.

REVELATIONS 19:13 And He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God.

God watches over His Word:

JEREMIAH 1:12 Then said the Lord unto me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it."

The Word is alive:

HEBREWS 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

The Word is health to the body:

PROVERBS 4:20,21,22 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their whole body.

JOSHUA 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in; for then you make your way prosperous, and then you have success."

The Word will not pass away:

MATTHEW 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away."

Be a doer of the Word:

JAMES 1:21,22 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

All Scripture is inspired by God:

2 TIMOTHY 3:16,17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

BE A BELIEVER

Believe in God:

JOHN 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, ...

2 CHRONICLES 20:20 ".....put your trust in the Lord your God, and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed."

TITUS 3:8 This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.

HEBREWS 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

JOHN 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.

Believe in the gospel:

MARK 1:15 "... believe in the gospel."

EPHESIANS 1:13,14 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view ot the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.

Believe in your heart:

ROMANS 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;

Believe in Jesus:

JOHN 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

JOHN 3:15 That whoever believes may in Him have eternal life.

JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

JOHN 6:28,29 They said therefore to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who He has sent."

JOHN 14:11 "Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; otherwise believe on account of the works themselves."

ACTS 10:43 "Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins."

ACTS 16:31 ..., "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household."

Blessed are those who did not see and yet believe:

JOHN 20:27,28,29,30,31 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand, and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing." Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed." Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you have life in His name.

RENEWING OF YOUR MIND

ROMANS 12:1,2 I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Seek God:

MATTHEW 6:31,33 "Do not be anxious then, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or With what shall we clothe ourselves?' "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you."

1 CHRONICLES 28:9 ...know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Forgive others:

MATTHEW 6:14,15 "For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgression."

MATTHEW 18:21,22 Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

You reap what you sow:

GALATIANS 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Resist the devil:

JAMES 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Preach the Word:

2 TIMOTHY 4:2

Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

Desire the Word:

1 PETER 2:1,2,3 Therefore, putting aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

JAMES 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.

Pure and undefiled religion:

JAMES 1:26,27 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless. This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

The treasures of the heart:

LUKE 6:45 "The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart."

Walk in love:

EPHESIANS 4:22,23,24, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

EPHESIANS 5:1,2,3,4,5, Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma, But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Let your mind dwell on these:

PHILIPPIANS 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.

Do not blaspheme:

LUKE 12:10... he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him.

The greatest commandments:

MATTHEW 22:36,37,38,39,40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him,"`You Shall Love The Lord Your God With All Your Heart, And With All Your Soul, and With All Your Mind.` "This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, `You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself.` On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Examples written for our instruction:

1 CORINTHIANS 10:6,7,8,9,10,11,

Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things, as they also craved. And do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written "The People Sat Down To Eat And Drink, And Stood Up To Play." Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

A summary of character:

1 PETER 3:8,9,10,11,12 To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For, "Let Him Who Means To Love Life And See Good Days Refrain His Tongue From Evil And His Lips From Speaking Guile." "And Let Him Turn Away From Evil And Do Good; Let Him Seek Peace And Pursue It." "For The Eyes Of The Lord Are Upon The Righteous, And His Ears Attend To Their Prayer; But The Face Of The Lord Is Against Those Who Do Evil."

LIVE BY FAITH

Live by faith:

ROMANS 1:16,17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But The Righteous man Shall Live By Faith."

GALATIANS 3:11 Now that no man is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, "The Righteous Man Shall Live By Faith."

Faith is:

HEBREWS 11:1,2,3 Now Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

Without faith:

HEBREWS 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Saved through faith:

EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

2 TIMOTHY 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

ROMANS 5:1 Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Faith comes from hearing the Word:

ROMANS 10:17 So Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Faith without love:

1 CORINTHIANS 13:1,2,3 If I speak the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4,5,6,7

Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous, love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoice with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

The victory is our faith:

1 JOHN 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world __ our faith.

Put on the full armor of God:

EPHESIANS 6:10,11,12 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the ruler, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

EPHESIANS 6:13,14,15,16,17

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, Having Girded Your Loins With Truth, and Having Put On The Breastplate Of Righteousness, and having shod Your Feet With The Preparation Of The Gospel Of Peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take The Helmet Of Salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Pursue faith:

1 TIMOTHY 6:11,12 .... and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness, Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called......

Ask in faith without doubting:

JAMES 1:5,6,7,8, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Faith without works:

JAMES 2:17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

JAMES 2:26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

An example of denied faith:

1 TIMOTHY 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

WALK BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

Jesus receives the Holy Spirit:

MATTHEW 3:13,14,15,16,17 Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordon coming to John, to be baptized by him. But John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?" But Jesus answering said to him, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he permitted Him. And after being baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."

Jesus said before his death and resurrection, the Helper (Holy Spirit) will come:

JOHN 15:26 "When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me,"

JOHN 14:26 ".... the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you."

JOHN 7:38,39 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'" But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

JOHN 4:14 "... whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."

JOHN 14:16 "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you."

The apostles receive the Holy Spirit:

JOHN 20:22 ....He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."

Peter tells us we can receive the Holy Spirit:

ACTS 2:38 And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

The Holy Spirit is received by a group of people:

ACTS 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

Receiving the Holy Spirit by laying on of hands:

2 TIMOTHY 1:6,7, And for this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

1 TIMOTHY 4:14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed upon you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.

The Holy Spirit dwells within us:

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 ...do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

1 CORINTHIANS 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 JOHN 4:12,13 No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

2 CORINTHIANS 6:16 .... For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I will Dwell In Them And Walk Among Them; ..."

The Holy Spirit will guide you:

JOHN 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come."

MATTHEW 10:20 "For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."

We are led by the Holy Spirit:

ROMANS 8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

ROMANS 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Do not grieve the Holy Spirit:

EPHESIANS 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

The Holy Spirit is the inner man:

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

Walk by the Spirit:

GALATIANS 5:16,17 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

We have access to God:

EPHESIANS 2:18 For through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

POWER GIVEN YOU

You will receive power:

ACTS 1:8 "...you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;..."

Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

1 CORINTHIANS 12:4,5,6,7 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:8,9,10,11 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

Jesus gives us the authority:

MATTHEW 10:1,7,8 And having summoned His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. "And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' "Heal the sick , raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons; freely you received, freely give."

LUKE 9:1 And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to heal diseases.

JOHN 14:12,13,14 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father." "And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." "If you ask Me anything in My name , I will do it."

LUKE 1:37 "For nothing will be impossible with God."

LUKE 10:19 "Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you."

MARK 11:22,23,24 And Jesus answered saying to them "Have faith in God." "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him." "Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you."

Jesus gives instructions:

MARK 15:16,17,18, .... "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it shall not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

MATTHEW 28:18:20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

The apostles receive the Holy Spirit into manifestation:

ACTS 2:1,2,3,4,5 And when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent, rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men, from every nation under heaven.

ACTS 2:6,7,8,9,10,11

And when the sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were bewildered, because they were each one hearing them speak in his own language. And they were amazed and marveled, saying, "Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the district of Libya around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans ad Arabs --we hear them in our own tongues speaking of the mighty deeds of God."

FELLOWSHIP AND UNITY

Fellowship with one another:

1 JOHN 1:6,7 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

We are all one, in Christ:

GALATIANS 3:26,27,28,29 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

Fellowship with Christ:

MATTHEW 18:20 "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst."

JOHN 15:4,5 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. " "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing."

1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Fellowship of the Holy Spirit:

ROMANS 8:8,9 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

PHILIPPIANS 1:1,2,3,4 If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

ETERNAL LIFE

Eternal life a free gift from God:

ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 JOHN 2:25 And this is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.

The Will of God is to believe in his Son:

JOHN 6:40 "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

JOHN 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."

Work towards eternal life:

JOHN 6:27 "Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man shall give to you, for on Him, the Father even God, has set His seal."

The witness is, God has given us eternal life:

1 JOHN 5:7,8,9,10 And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for the witness of God is this, that He has borne witness concerning His Son.

1 JOHN 5:10,11,12,13

The one who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness that God has borne concerning His Son. And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.

Make these qualities yours:

2 PETER 1:4,5,6,7, ....He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge; and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness; and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.

2 PETER 1:8,9,10,11 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

Walk in Love, Faith and Prayer:

JUDE 1:20,21 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith; praying in the Holy Spirit; keep yourself in love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

This is eternal life:

JOHN 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent."

Take hold of eternal life:

1 TIMOTHY 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Jesus knows us:

JOHN 10:27,28,29,30 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand." "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand." "I and the Father are one."

Jesus has prepared a place for us:

JOHN 14:2,3,4,6 "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you." "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." "And you know the way where I am going." "Jesus said ..., "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me."
