Satan seeks to gain advantage over us:
2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Satan not respectable of the things that be of God:
MATTHEW 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savorest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
DEMONS
Demons exist:
1 CORINTHIANS 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God; and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
EPHESIANS 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Giving heed to demons:
1 TIMOTHY 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Demon possession:
MATTHEW 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

Demons believe and tremble:
JAMES 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
SIN
Sins of the mind and flesh:
GALATIANS 5:19,20,21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
ROMANS 8:6,7 For to be carnally minded is death; but be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
1 JOHN 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Adultery:
EXODUS 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
LEVITICUS 18:20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.
MATTHEW 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Fornication:
1 CORINTHIANS 6:13 ... Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 CORINTHIANS 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Lasciviousness:
Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
1 PETER 4:2,3 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when ye walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries.
Idolatry:
DEUTERONOMY 27:15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:14 My dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 JOHN 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
REVELATIONS 21:8 Idolaters ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Witchcraft:
1 SAMUEL 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
MICAH 5:12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers;
ISAIAH 47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
Hatred:
LEVITICUS 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
PROVERBS 26:24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
MATTHEW 5:43,44 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
Human wrath:
EPHESIANS 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
EPHESIANS 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
COLOSSIANS 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Strife:
JAMES 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
2 TIMOTHY 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
1 TIMOTHY 6:4,5 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
Heresies:
2 PETER 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
ROMANS 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
Envyings:
PROVERBS 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
2 CORINTHIANS 12:20 For I fear lest when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not, let these be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swelling, tumults.
1 PETER 2: 1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and evil speakings.
Murders:
EXODUS 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
1 JOHN 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
REVELATIONS 21:8 Murderers... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Drunkenness:
LUKE 21:34 Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
EPHESIANS 5:18 Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess;...
1 CORINTHIANS 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
Flesh in difference to Spirit:
ROMANS 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins which were by the law did work in our members, to bring forth fruit unto death.
GALATIANS 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
GALATIANS 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth to the spirit, shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.
Flesh to be subdued:
GALATIANS 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
1 PETER 4:1,2 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sin: That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh, to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
ATONEMENT
Atonement through Christ:
MATTHEW 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
MATTHEW 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
JOHN 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
JOHN 3:16,17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
JOHN 11:49,50,51 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. An this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
ACTS 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
ROMANS 3:24,25 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
ROMANS 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
ROMANS 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
ROMANS 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
ROMANS 5:19 For a by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:18,19,20,21 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
GALATIANS 3:13,14 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles though Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
HEBREWS 2:14:15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
1 JOHN 2:2 He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 JOHN 3:5 Ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 JOHN 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 PETER 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
COLOSSIANS 2:14,15 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way nailing it to the cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
FAITH
Faith, the substance of things hoped for:
TIMOTHY 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
ROMANS 10:17 So then Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2 PETER 1:3,4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust,
2 PETER 1:5,6,7,8 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
PRAYER
Pray always:
EPHESIANS 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
LUKE 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
When you pray forgive:
MARK 11:25,26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Pray for others:
1 TIMOTHY 2:1,3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
The Lord hears our prayer:
ISAIAH 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
1 JOHN 14,15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
The Lord answers our prayer:
MATTHEW 18:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
MARK 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Praying in the Spirit:
ROMANS 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Prayer of Salvation:
ROMANS 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
The Lords Prayer
LUKE 11:2,3,4 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
COMMANDMENTS
Two commandments given by Jesus:
MATTHEW 22:40 On these two commandemnts hang all the law and the prophets.
MATTHEW 22:37,38,39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
