The Present Church of God
The present Church of God
Prophecy being partially fulfilled, John the Baptist comes as Elijah if you can accept it, Christ followed who John made ready, Christ died, raised and Ascended to the Father... Standing until Israel rejected Him and the Kingdom which God was bringing to them as was spoken in Prophecy.
Christ took His seat beside the right hand of the Father (Col. 3:1) and the doors to Prophecy of old closed... The prophectic clock stopped... And a new revelation was given because of total rejection of Israel. (Rom. 11:25). They are like the Law if you reject one you reject them all. (James 2:10). Because we know some went forth i.e. the Apostles who did not reject the Lord... (Acts 2:38,41,47). We know a goodly number were water baptized and received the Holy Spirit. This was a time for Israel and Gentiles coming in on their awaited promise for Israel. (Acts 2:16-21). This had nothing to do with the Church of God, we who call ourselves "the body of Christ." (1 Cor. 12:27). I see Christ was standing (Acts 7:55,56) for the gathering of Israel and now seated in Rest with God. (Col. 3:1). The Holy Spirit is now the worker upon the earth, gathering the "body of Christ" according to the "Mystery". (Eph. 1:13,14; 1 Cor. 12:13).
Whether you accept it or not the administration and gathering pertaining to Israel, the door which was open has now been closed for nearly 2000 years. (Acts 28:25-28). How many generations have passed since the crucifixion of Christ? Maybe enough so that the present generation of Israel who was called out from the Gentile nations will accept the Messiah. But while they wait for the "Mystery" gathering let us continue speaking of them.
We, at the close of Acts 28 entered into a new administration. What it was, was given us by Paul. (Eph. 3:1-3; Col. 1:25-27). It is God's Word, it is written to us, it can be found in the Pauline Epistles. What it is, why it is, and who it is has been given in great detail. And you will be able to see it clearly if you stay in the Pauline Epistles, especially Ephesians, Colossians, and Phillippians. This is a brand new door, a secret door. A door hidden in God and revealed by God (1 Cor. 2:6-8), now stands open. And it does not matter Jew or Gentile, (Rom. 1:16; 3:22) you may enter. You may enter because it was given by the Grace of God, through what His Son accomplished at Calvary. (Eph. 2:8-13). From His side the water and the blood both flowed. (John 19:34). Representing those who were to be gathered by the washing of water (Acts 2:38; 1 Peter 3:21) and those being washed of the Word. (Eph. 5:26). Washed by the redemption that is in His blood (Eph. 1:7) cleansing us and made us ready to be made acceptable before God.
The present Church of God is the spiritual assembly of God in Christ. According to the "Mystery" which was hidden in God (Eph. 3:9)... Being kept a secret since the world began (Rom. 16:25) not revealed to anyone until it was revealed to Paul. And it is just that simple. God tells the world by His gift of Grace you may enter therein... Into the "body of Christ". Interesting don't you think by revelation a "Mystery" hidden, we become hidden in Christ (Col. 3:3).
We will not go through the Great Tribulation prophecied in the Bible, because we are not part of prophecy. We, the members of the spiritual Body of Christ by His grace we are saved and has raised us up together to be seated with Him in the heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). Even though presently we are being gathered if we could look future we are already gathered and are seated with Him. (Col. 2:12; 3:1). Specific instructions for us says: Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (Col. 3:1). We are NOT the physical Church upon the earth. Doctrinal correction for us is in Colossians 3:1 - 4:1.
The "body of Christ" is being gathered... And as we are gathered, we inturn gather pulling those out of the fire that were placed there by false doctrine and false hope, the doctrine of devils. (1 Cor. 4:1,2). When the last brick has been put in place (sort of speak), the Lord will take us to Himself. (2 Thess 2:1). And He will come for His "body" not suddenly like a thief as He will for Israel when the world cries peace and safety (1 Thess. 5:1-3) who are called the children of darkness. We have been given assurance by God's Word that that Day shall not overtake it as a thief (1 Thess. 5:4), because we are the children of the Light. The children of darkness will not know... those who are blind (Israel), those who are evil (Gentiles). And we are warned to NOT be like others who are to sleep (1 Thess.5:6), but to be watchful, for God has not appointed us to wrath. (Vs 9). This verified in 1 Thess. 1:10 stating we are delivered (past tense) from the wrath to come. What is the appointed wrath (Lev. 26; Deut. 28; 32). We will escape the Wrath of God... because God would not bestow Grace just to send His Wrath upon us... especially when the Bible says, His Wrath is for the children of disobedience. *We still contend with through the years, the wrath of the enemy.
Until we are gathered to Himself (Christ) instructions are given: (1 Thess. 5:15-22). Why? Faithful is He That calleth you, Who also will do it. (1 Thess. 5:24). The Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter days these things... read (1 Timothy 4:1-12). Remember the "body of Christ" is the spiritual Church of God through the "Mystery" and we have NO part of anything to do with prophecy.
Those of you who see the power of God through faith are watching buds breaking forth on a Spring day, a very special season coming upon us. Not man's season of seasons but God's Season. Remain watchful. Watch your walk.
The present spiritual Church of God will be no longer present as individual members in the flesh by the time and season the future physical Church of God once again begins to be formed. (1 Thess. 4:17; 1 Cor. 15:51-55). The future Church of God is the physical assembly of God built upon Christ. According to prophecy Hos. 2:23; Isa. 10:22,23; Rom. 9:25-27. (Matt. 16:18). They will be called out among all the Gentile nations as we were called out. They will be formed as we were formed and they will be gathered as we are now being gathered. Then the Great Tribulation will come and then God's Wrath will come followed by the Great White Throne Judgement.
This physical future Church will not be gathered by God's Grace. They will learn righteousness (Isa. 26:9). They will become a great multitude that no man can number. They will learn from the Judgements of God what they failed to learn from the Grace of God. They will pass through the Great Tribulation and Stand before the Throne of God. This Church is NOT under the Administration of Grace but Judgement.
You today the "body of Christ" will be dwelt with according to your faith. Does your faith say you will be going through the Great Tribulation?
