Hello Everyone, Let us now go to 1 Cor. 1:24: "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." "Power of God" = His Faith Matt.22 [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Scriptures = the Word and Power = Faith
[43] And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, ... "And that from a child thou hast known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through FAITH WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS." (2 Tim. 3:15). Luke.22 [69] Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. power = (Gr. dunamis) = inherent power; the power of reproducing itself (See. Acts 1:8). "But ye shall receive "power", AFTER THAT the Holy Ghost is come upon you;" (Acts 1:8). *Acts.8 [10] To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. The above Scripture (Acts 8:10) was speaking of Simon Magus. "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Cor. 11:13,14). Rom.1 [16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. gospel (hearing and believing the gospel of Christ (Rom. 3:21-26; 1 Cor. 15:3,4; Eph. 1:7-14; 2:8-13). "Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH" (Rom. 3:28). "justified by THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST" (Gal. 2:16). 1Cor.1 [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. "by grace are ye saved through faith" (Eph. 2:8). 1Cor.2 [5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 2Cor.6 [7] By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, The shield (left hand) (the shield of faith) and the sword (right hand) (sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God). (Eph. 6) 2Cor.13 [4] For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. 2Tim.1 [8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 1Pet.1 [5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:" (Rom. 1:17). God's righteousness is revealed on the ground of faith (faith-principle) (ek pisteos), as the absolute condition of salvation, and is operative only for those who believe (eis pistin). If you did not become a member of the body of Christ by HIS FAITH, when you believed the gospel message, you are not in Christ. ".... for without Me ye can do nothing." (John 15:5). After a multitude of signs the apostles believed (John 20:20) and HIS Faith was established in them... then Christ breathed on the Apostles (John 20:22)... receiving they, the Holy Spirit, being sealed for the day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit became manifest in them on Pentecost. These things with the Apostles were by sight... you on the other hand will receive these things not by sight. "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." (1 Cor. 2:5). His grace bestowed upon you, makes you become a labourer in the field. (1 Cor. 15:10)... not someone who sits in the pew every Sunday from the time they are a child until they are old. "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL WHICH I PREACHED UNTO YOU, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which ALSO YE ARE SAVED, IF YE KEEP IN MEMORY WHAT I PREACHED UNTO YOU, unless ye believed in vain. (1 Cor. 15:2). The gospel in it's purest form is what saves the hearer, who believes. *But if the hearer preaches something different, then neither was he saved nor the one's who he preaches this false gospel to. IF CHRIST IS IN YOU, how can you preach a false gospel? You received the Truth through the faith of the operation of God. (Col. 2:12). We do know the god of this world is also operating. Paul says: "For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ." (Col. 2:5). Eve
